Join us in volunteering for the Camarillo Council on Aging’s annual Shred Event—a vital fundraiser supporting resources and education for our senior community. We need over 30 volunteers to help this event run smoothly—your support makes a difference!
Volunteers may assist with some of the following:
- Setting up traffic cones for driving lanes
- Providing traffic control
- Lifting boxes/bags of paper out of vehicles
- Hold signs
- Greeting event attendees
High School Students - We provide certification of volunteer hours for your school / college requirements. Get credit for helping your community!
Youth 15-17 - Please have your parent sign the required volunteer waiver in order to participate, provided in this link. The completed form can be uploaded when requested, emailed to cityclerk@cityofcamarillo.org, or brought to the event. (This is required to participate).
Food for volunteers - We will have plenty of water, morning snacks, and lunch will be provided for all volunteers in appreciation of your help.
Photo Op - There will be a photo opportunity after the event for all volunteers that will be used in City communications.
Required Form - Volunteer Waiver
Please note that this event can require walking and/or standing for lengths of time. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and please note there is limited shade, so sunscreen is highly recommended.
We are thankful for your help and hope this is a fun
day! On behalf of the City of Camarillo and the Camarillo Council on
Aging, thank you in advance for your participation and helping our wonderful
community.
