The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and the Camarillo Police Department have long experienced strong partnerships with citizen volunteers. The contributions made by these trained volunteers have been an integral part of the support system needed to achieve law enforcement’s mission of public safety.
Disaster Assistance Response Team D.A.R.T. is a volunteer organization to respond in support of the city of Camarillo and the county of Ventura under direction of the Camarillo Police, in times of emergency, disasters or general requests. D.A.R.T. members must complete 80 hours of initial training and are recurrently trained in first aid, traffic control, light search and rescue, and communications. D.A.R.T. attends and helps at many local civic events including Camarillo High football games, street fairs, July 4th, Christmas parade, and many other community events.
