Camarillo Library Volunteers are involved in many aspects of the Library with jobs that benefit people throughout the year and all through the community! Camarillo Library volunteers may be any age, from 14 to adult.

Description
Position Description
In the Homework Center the volunteers, or Homework Coaches, work with children in kindergarten through eighth grade in all subject matters. Children are assisted on a as-needed basis, meaning children will not be paired up with the same volunteer every visit. Homework Coaches may help numerous students during any one shift.
The Center is open Monday - Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. during the academic school year. Volunteers can schedule themselves for shifts via our online scheduling system.
Requirements
- Must be patient and comfortable working with children ages 5-14.
- Must commit to a minimum of 15 hours over three months.
- Adults must undergo a background check.
