The City of Camarillo is seeking volunteers to participate in this year’s Coastal & Inland Waterways Cleanup Day! This event is a great way to support our environment while having fun and making a positive impact on our local waterways. Cleanup locations include canyons and inland waterways in Camarillo:
The main canyon off Mission Oaks Park: Meet near tennis courts
Calleguas Creek: Meet at Creekside and Paseo Del Campo at the bottom of the slope at entrance to creek bottom*
Any collected materials will be properly disposed of, including recycling beverage containers. For a list of other cleanup locations in Ventura County, visit www.vccoastcleanup.org. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own trash bag, reusable water bottle, bucket, and gloves! Wear closed toe shoes, a hat, long pants and sleeves, and remember to pack sunscreen.
* The terrain we'll be cleaning is not suitable for strollers or children under age 5.
